Mavericks Surf Compitition

We went to the Mavericks surf competition a couple weekends ago with the bishop and Adam Haleck. While we were there we ran into Cory and Ashley Knell, which was pretty cool. What a coincidence. The beach was crowded with spectators and photographers. We couldn't see much from where we were, but it was still so much fun. Next year we need to get a spot on a boat out on the water, now that would be cool.

sculpture garden

while in Napa Valley we were drawn to this crazy baby blue bubbly thing in the distance. when we got closer and out of the car to check it out we realized it was a tree covered in little plastic balls, like the ones that are in the smelly play pins at Mcdonalds. This tree is one of the coolest things i have ever seen. Zach and i didn't even knowhat this mystical place was. we started walking around and kept finding all of this crazy stuff.(look at the following pictures). we wondered why we were the only ones in this random place. while we were leaving we read a sign that talked about the place and we realized that it was supposed to be an outdoor sculpture garden. The place was closed and you were supposed to pay to get in. HA! succors! I don't feel guilty for "sneaking" in because we didn't even know. yipeeeee!

I don't kniow if zach was supposed to move the art...but he did, well, he tried at least.

chels and me just chillin in the sun.

Post ceremony. Josh planned out this really sweet initiation for Bobbi into the brotherhood. Bobbi is the only girl and sometimes feels left out when the boys refer to themselves as the brothers. Josh had all of these matching shirts made for each of the brothers and Bobbi that had their nicknames on them. It was super cool. BROTHERS IN DA HOOD! (sorry Bob).

After the ceremony zach and I presented the boys and Bobbi with gifts that we got while in Italy. To their surprise they were matching shorts with the statue of Davids Jimmy on it!

Pure 100% James

Kandi and Dennis the golden father and mother-in-law. Aren't they b-e-a-utiful people?

Say Cheeeeeeeeeeese

Family pic. in cocolala. This is the whole family. I went alone to idaho this year because zach was in New York. I had so much fun, but after a few days i started missing zach because i was being surrounded by all of these couples that remind me of him. The coolest thing happened though.... so, one day Cubby and adam went out on the boat and Cubby told Amanda, Chelsea and i to come out on the dock to watch him do a trick on the water skis. The boys went out on the water while we went out to watch. Amanda started telling me how cute Cubby is sometimes because he likes to show off to her, i thought it was the cutest thing i had heard, so i was intently watching and waiting for Cubs to come around on the water skis so that i could watch and support him on his "cool trick". The boat came around and cubs came around on the water skis about 30feet in front of us screaming.....i clapped and screamed, but in my head i thought, hey, cubby looked a lot like zach, how funny. Cubby even had similiar swimming shorts to zach. wierd. but gosh! he looked a lot like zach !!...The boat came around again and they stopped and it was zach!!!!!!!! i couldn't believe it! zach was supposed to be in New york! i just sat there staring at him for a few moments trying to process that it was zach. when my mind finally comprehended it i screamed and jumped with my clothes n into the water to swim to him. That was one of my happiest moments. i was missing him SOOOO much. it was perfect timing. zach could only spend the day, he had to leave the next morning, but it was totally worth it. I needed a Zach recharge.
Zach had training in New York over the summer for about 4 months. I stayed in Salt lake with my parents. This picture was taken when I went out to visit Zach for a few days. Those were the hardest months of my life! The whole time I was there it felt so wierd because it had already been a few months since I had last seen zach. It didn't feel like he was my husband. May I seriously suggest never leaving your spouse for that long. I hope i don't sound too bitter.(-;
The first day Zach got homw from New York we took Red out for her first ride on the golden gate bridge...uhmmm yea, she ran out of gas and we had to push her the rest of the way. Good ole Red.
